Good afternoon Residents:

Monday Night (Labor Day 9/5) around midnight, several individuals entered the parking garage and stole 2 vehicles, a pressure washer, and some other items. We have camera footage of the perpetrators who appeared to know exactly where they were going and what they were doing so they had presumably cased the property beforehand. The perpetrators were able to exit the parking garage with the stolen vehicles due to the a resident leaving their remote controls inside one of both of the cars. Those remotes are being de-activated so they will no longer be usable.

If you haven’t already, I strongly suggest you inspect your parking and storage areas to see if any of your items have been stolen or tampered with. If they have, please send me a detailed email, and pictures of any damage that might have been caused by the perpetrators so I can forward the information to LAPD to accompany the camera footage, and police report that has already been filed.

The Board of Directors and Management Staff will be meeting with Peninsula Security as soon as possible to assess what additional measures can be taken to protect the community in light of the increase in crime. We are considering addl cameras, re-placement of current cameras, and more, brighter exterior lighting inside the parking garage, and around the perimeter of the building. If you have any suggestions that you think would be worthwhile, please send them to me or address with a Board Member.

Warm regards,

Anna
